Stawley volunteers

Sally and Martin are running Stawley Shop and Tearoom and have made a resounding success of the venture with an ever-increasing source of groceries and other supplies for our convenience. Importantly they have created a Community Hub where we can hold meetings, enjoy breakfasts, lunches or afternoon teas, or find someone to chat with over a cuppa.

However, as many of you are aware, the hours they work to maintain the Shop and associated services are extremely long, and simply put, are not sustainable by them alone. One of the easiest ways to alleviate this situation is to have more volunteer help. We have a small band of dedicated helpers at present, doing all sorts of tasks in addition to serving behind the counter: stocking shelves and delivering newspapers to name but two.

Stawley Shop and Tearoom will always welcome more volunteers. We appreciate that we all lead busy lives, but most of us could find a few hours each week or two, to help out. The main point is that the more volunteers we have, the fewer hours we each need to contribute. You might not want to serve behind the counter, but there are many other ways just a few hours could help make Sally and Martin’s lives a little easier. If you would like to find out more please contact the Shop via the links provided on the home page.
